Academia.edu launches - gigantic tree of academics
I am a post-doc in philosophy at Oxford. I recently created Academia.edu, which is a gigantic tree diagram of every academic in the world. Academia.edu's goal is to be like Facebook or LinkedIn for academics.
Stephen Hawking, Richard Dawkins, Noam Chomsky, Paul Krugman and Steven Pinker have all added their names to Academia.edu's tree recently, and so have 70% of the Nobel Prize winners for 2008. Over 800,000 academics have started to use Academia.edu in the last 6 months.
It would be wonderful if you could support Academia.edu, by adding your name to the Academia.edu tree. To add your name, just follow the link below:

I hope I am correct and you are the photographer that shot the photos
that went along with this article

.
If so, would you mind giving these photos out in a higher resolution? I
am the webmiss of a Snow Patrol website and would like to post those
photos.
Kind Regards,

Rugg bonspiel
Good to see you the other night. I am wondering if you are interested in
the Rugg bonspiel, which is over the weekend of March 6. My Winter
Carnival teammate, whom you met, Art Boylan, is looking for teammates for
the Rugg. Tricia and I can't do it because we will still be in Ireland.
If you are interested, I will hook you up with Art and maybe you can find
two more people.

MARRYING UNDER THE CARE OF NORTH BRANCH
| show details Feb 23 (1 day ago) |
Greetings, Jason & Kristen, I am very glad to let you know that the consensus of the Sterling Worship Group at our Meeting for Worship with Attention to Business on Sunday, Feb. 21st, 2010, was to accept responsibility for having the two of you be married under the care of this meeting. We have taken into consideration that you feel this is your spiritual home and that you are willing to work with both a clearness and an overcare committee in preparation for your marriage. A Clearness Committee consisting of Tony Kearney, David Elliott, and Bev Williams has been established, and they will be contacting you to set up a time when they can meet with you. North Branch meeting in Forty-Fort left the consensus about this matter in the hands of the Sterling group, but offered to have someone from their meeting sit on the Clearness Committee, and Bev was chosen. The consensus of the Sterling meeting is that we would like the two of you to have regular contact with either the Clearness Committee or a group of people who attend Sterling/North Branch meeting on a regular basis, with a recommendation that this happen once a month, either by attendance, or by letters, phone calls or emails. We also encourage you, as a couple, to cultivate ties with Friends in your local community where you live. Your marriage will be under the care of Sterling Worship Group of North Branch meeting until such time as you request to change relationship to a meeting closer to where you live. We see a good possibility that the role of the Overcare Committee may be more appropriately taken by the meeting in Philadelphia in which you are going to have your marriage ceremony. Arlene Kelly, a visitor attendee of Sterling Meeting, "happened" to be in attendance at meeting for worship this past Sunday and told us that she is a member of Central Philadelphia meeting where you would like to be married. She provided me with her contact info. and the name of the Clerk of Membership Care at that meeting, which is David Nicklin. She will be forwarding me his contact info. as well. Below this letter is the contact information for the Clearness Committee members and for Arelene Kelly of Central Philadelphia meeting. We look forward with great joy to our on-going relationship with you as a couple, both before and after your marriage, and will be holding you in the light as we move forward on this path together.
